Nothing against Digg, but I think its a lot less relevant than it was a year or two ago. Just looking at the main page right now I pulled out these headlines

The Deadly Fog of 1880
The 10 Most Bizarre Athlete Superstitions
Beautiful Ice Crater On the North Pole of Mars
Modern Day Warrior (Some sort of "comedy" picture)
The 17 Worst Bar Shots Ever Created
The 8 Most Ridiculous Dance Crazes

And thats like the 1st 7, there was 1 news item, which was actually this digg buyout one.

None of that is news. It's like a collection of the best email forwards in the last month. I think a lot of that stuff is interesting, but I question how long people will be intrigued by articles titled "The X most Blankety Blank"

I think digg needs some sort of forced categorization where fluff news gets put in one category so that you can filter them out. How they would ever do this, I don't know.
